Football shirt chest measurements, international boot sizing conversion, and how to measure correctly — so every order fits the first time.
How to measure your chest
Wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it horizontal and snug (not tight). Record in centimetres for the most accurate match. Measure over a thin t-shirt rather than a heavy jumper.
Vintage and retro shirts
Pre-2000s shirts were cut much smaller than modern equivalents. A shirt labelled XL from the 1990s may fit like a modern M. Always prioritise the chest measurement listed in the seller's description over the printed tag.
Finding your boot size
Measure your foot length from heel to longest toe. Add 0.5–1 cm for comfort. Most football boots run true to size, though laceless silos (e.g. Nike Phantom VSN) can run slightly narrow.

Youth shirts are listed by age range. Older kits are usually tagged with letters instead, and manufacturers write them differently — every form in the Also labelled column above is the same size. So a shirt tagged Youth L, L Boys, LB or YL is listed here as 13-14Y.
Chest figures are bodymeasurements, not the garment. Football shirts are cut loose, so a shirt for a 13-14 year old typically measures around 44–46 cm flat across the chest — roughly 6 cm wider than the body it is meant to fit.

US sizing depends on the brand. Nike, Puma, Mizuno, Lotto run a full size above UK — a UK 8 is a US 9. adidas, New Balance, Diadora run only half a size above — a UK 8 is a US 8.5. Ordering from the wrong column is the most common reason a boot arrives half a size out. EU sizing also varies a little by brand (adidas uses fractional sizes such as 40 2/3), so treat the EU column as a guide and check the listing. Women's US sizing is typically 1.5 sizes larger than men's (e.g. UK 6 = US Women's 8.5). JP sizing represents the actual foot length in centimetres.
